We have had a great Friday so far, and it can only get better ;)

* We went to the The Island School for a tour today, and I was beyond impressed! I really wanted something structured for Carson over the summer a couple days of the week, and it looks as if this is going to be perfect!

* My cleaning crew is coming today, I have a babysitter coming in a few, and I have a massage booked at the Mom Spa!

* Its beautiful ,sunny and almost 70 outside

*My big boy hasn't had an accident in two days! he is totally rocking this potty training!

I am dying over this dress, thinking I should make the splurge for summer

My morning started out fabulous! Believe it or not I'am actually an easy Valentine to please :)

Chocolates, coffee, my boys and roses= perfect morning

No big plans tonight, I will be cooking up the hubs favorite spaghetti! How easy is he to please??

He will be bring home takeout for lunch, and promised to try to leave before 5! This makes me smile :)

On another note the Vow was an amazing movie! I cried like a baby! We had the best popcorn loaded with butter and this new Jalapeno Popcorn seasoning! Seriously get this stuff ASAP it was life changing on the popcorn!

It did help that this man melted my heart the entire movie! (not that he has anything on my amazing husband ;)

Monday.......... On my mind

Todd and I haven't had a date in 2 weeks!! So I am super excited for our date at the movies tonight! We are going to see The Vow, and I can not wait!!!

We have no big plans for V-day, and all I have asked for is a box of chocolates! What do you guys have going on?

We have 3 birthday parties next Saturday, and I am actually really excited about all of them! I know Carson will have a blast at them all. I just love watching all my friends babies grow!

My sweet boy Sterling will be 2!

I really appreciate all the comments and advice on the potty training!I know he will get it, and it just takes time. If anything I have learned I am going to have to be patient and consistent! We have had 0 accidents so far this morning!

These boys make my heart melt, and I cant wait for Carson to be a big brother!!! He is so excited, and I know he is going to be so good with her!

Today is Carsons party at school and he will be handing out these cute Valentines to all his friends!

This is how we have spent our weekend! And if I being completely honest it sucked!!! It still does, but today was better than yesterday! Here's to hoping each day continues to get better! Note this is the hardest thing I have experienced in motherhood. There is nothing more heart breaking than watching your child get discouraged and feeling like he cant do it! On a brighter note he has his Valentines party tomorrow at school, and we have made some pretty cute Valentines to hand out to his friends! I will share those tomorrow, because tonight I have to wash pee-pee underwear!

I just want to always remember how incredibly happy I feel in this moment of my life. My girl Chassity couldn't have said it better yesterday! I feel so blessed to have the incredible family I have and the amazing friends in my life. I missed my boys dearly this weekend, but it was so freakin awesome to have my girls here with me! We seriously ate almost the entire time, they showered baby girl with some beautiful personalized gifts, and we enjoyed the insane sunny weather! It was pure bliss!!!

Dinner was amazaballs and if you are local you need to go to Leaf ASAP!

Thanks girls for such an incredible visit!

PS my girl Lane also just announced that she is having a baby!!! I am over the moon happy for her, and so excited one of my girls is going to be a mommy! She is going to so rock at it too! Yes and how cute is her husband Corey, and he is a total sweet pea too!

Thoughts on Friday....

1) I am so super excited about this weekend 5 of my closet girlfriends from high school are coming to stay with me! The boys are headed home to visit family and the ladies and I will be shopping Saturday and going out to a nice dinner to celebrate sweet baby girl! I really am so blessed to have these girls in my life, and I am so happy we have stayed so close all these years!!!

2) I have had the worst cold/sinus infection all week! My poor boys have had to eat frozen meal almost every night! I am pretty worthless when I feeling bad! Luckily I started an antibiotic and am feeling much better!

3) Its pretty sad how excited I am about my cleaning people coming today! My house is a mess, and honestly nothing makes this girl happier than to have the entire house spotless! hey it's the little things right!

4) I cant get the below shoes out of my head! I am guessing this means I need to make them mine! (in my defense I am preggo so shoes are my thing right now)

5) Todd and I were suppose to sit down and make a budget this week. Well I was sick and it didn't happen! so I am guessing I better jump on the above purchase before next week! I really am excited about saving up some money, but darn it it's going to suck to not shop!

Carson turns 3!!

Note: This is not our normal "party" as you know I usually like to go all out. But considering I am 6 months pregnant, and our invite list has grown I choose to go an easier route! Wow such a breeze, I am not going to lie it was a little bittersweet not to have my hands all in it. In the end though Carson and his friends had a great time, they had the museum all to themselves and they played hard! We had a lot of kiddos there so we decided to take gift home and open them the next day!(We didn't get home until 8) Holy Christmas all over again in the Hewitt house! All I have to say is Carson has some awesome friends, and his friends kinda have some awesome parents!!! Thanks everyone for making Carsons third birthday so special!

It's killing me ladies! I swear I live in jogging pants and leggings. Don't get me wrong I love to be comfortable, but 7 days a week of looking bummy is getting to me. I refuse to buy a lot of maternity clothes this time, as all my second time preggos know it's such a waste of money! I have my few nice pieces from my first pregnancy so I plan to just add maybe a few tops! Well as I was browsing online today a took a peek at Old Navy maternity and to my surprise I found some pretty cute things! Here are the two tops I purchased!

- It's day two of Todd working in his new office. I miss him, but I must say it's going really well! I was so productive yesterday, and was able to let Carson run wild all day!

- Baby girl is getting "custom closets" this weekend. I say custom loosely as daddy will be doing them. I have to say Todd has become quite handy, so I know they are going to look great!

- Carson and I are going on a search to look for these in a few!

I plan on putting them on baby girls dresser!

- I am going to the salon today!!!!!!!

-We have a dinner date Saturday night at Wild Olive with some great friends!!

- This pregnancy is going so great!!!!

How freaking awesome you all are!!! I seriously don't know what I would do without all your help ;) I know majority of you voted number 2, and those really were may favorite also. But a few of you suggested the chevron pillows at target. So today while I was out running errands, I decided a trip target wouldn't hurt hey I needed baby wipes anyway! Well so glad I did, lookie what I found!!!

It's no secret I love Lilly Pulitzer, and her new spring line does not disappoint! Now if I can get my body back after our princess makes her arrival in May! If that happens I will be adding these beauties to my closet! I picked mostly comfortable cotton ones, which to me makes them so much more appealing to throw on!

It has been Cold, and I mean really cold for Charleston!! We have been lazy, and I mean really lazy!

This sweet baby has been doing a lot of this, and not getting up until 7:30 or later!

I on the other hand have stayed in my pjs for two straight days! It's such a love hate, I love having nothing to do, but I hate feeling unproductive and bummie all day!

We did at least bundle up and play on our new swing set a couple times this week! I love this boy!!

Shelves in the nursery......

You guys would be proud, I have narrowed my colors down to 4 pale pinks! I have also decided on a mirror and chandelier for her room! And is it possible that I am already nesting or is it just my OCD personality? Not sure but either way, I am like a mad women wanting to get everything done! So I think I have decided to do shelves over her changing table. Holy choices batman, there are way too many out there, or maybe I just spend way too much time sitting on my rump looking at all of them :) Here are my current favorites!

No matter which I set of shelves I choose, this will be front and center! Carson and I spent the entire day last Monday painting canvases for his sister, and this was my favorite creation by Carson Hewitt! I do think this is my new favorite art for her nursery!

Can you believe the holidays are over! Man it went by fast this year! I hope your Christmas was as memorial and magic as our was. Now if some of that magic would could pack up all my Christmas decorations I would be one happy girl!

Todd is moving into his office space next week, which means my future nursery will be empty! I am a little excited and overwhelmed at decorating this "all white nursery". For some reason I am terrified I am not going to love it!

We had such a wonderful pre Christmas with my parents and Carson this year!

Hope you all enjoy your weekend!!! I know we will, Santa is coming early, and we are so excited! My parents are coming to town today and we have lots planned! Which include building a swing set from scratch(yep husband and dad are amazing like that), another visit to the festival of lights, making a gingerbread house, whipping up an early Christmas dinner, watching Christmas Vacation, and O yeah Santa Claus coming to visit Carson on Sunday! We have done this every year because it's just a little easier and we can still travel home for Christmas. This will probably be our last year as our little monkey is getting too smart for his own good!!!

PS Carson also has pajama day and a Christmas party at school along with our annual Christmas playgroup, so he is quite the busy man himself!

Carson and I have been getting into the Christmas spirit! We made Christmas cookies last week, and he had the best time. He loved pressing the cutter into the dough!

My girlfriend Natalie gave me the most wonderful smelling candle and diffuser for my birthday!! The perfect holiday scent! Love it!!!

We also visited Santa!! Carson Loves him some Santa always has, and this year he was even more excited! He keeps asking when we are going back? The line wasn't exactly short, so probably next year ;)

This was our second visit to the Festival of Lights, and on the first Santa was still in the North Pole, so we improvised, and Carson loved this silly bulb almost as much as Santa himself!

Turning on the fire every night has become a must too! I am really loving this time of year!!!

* You guys are the best!!!! Thanks for all your help yesterday! I think most of you will be happy to know I have decided to do the scalloped roman shade and layer it with white drapes! I hope it looks as fabulous as I have it pictured in my head :)

It has been just perfect so far! I woke up to beautiful red roses, sweet cards, and a gift card to a day at the Mom Spa!!

So you guys, I have had the white nursery all planned out in my head for about 3 years now. Seriously this is no joke, and now I having a hard time pulling it all together!!! So help please, as you know I suffer from severe OCD! I just cant come up with the perfect window treatments and its driving me NUTS!

Favorite Christmas scents............

Do you all love Christmas time as much as we do??? One of my favorite things is to pull out all of my favorite candles and soaps. Something about the smell of the pine makes me so giddy, and reminds me of Christmas as a child. Well at least I am on the ball with something around here! We finished all our Christmas decorations this past weekend, and I must say I love the Christmas feeling all through the house! I have even pulled out my favorite Christmas candles and soap (which I will share with you all tomorrow).

And nothing to do with Christmas but, I had to share with my local readers. If you haven't been to Magnolias for their Sunday brunch you must go and try this!!!

Apple cream cheese stuffed french toast with pecan praline syrup!!! Holy Batman a pregnant womans dream!!!! Todd and I got to sneak away Sunday for the day and do some Christmas shopping and enjoy a nice quiet brunch! Thanks to our awesome babysitter Katie!!!

Is tomorrow really Thanksgiving?? I can not believe it is already here! Thanksgiving is absolutely one of my favorite holidays! It is the one and only Holiday that we don't travel, and spend it together with just our family of three(soon to be four)! We do it really laid back too, we go out to lunch and eat a delicious buffet at Bessingers! Then we head to pick out our Christmas tree, and watch Christmas movies the rest of the day! I am really looking forward to it! I just feel so very thankful for all the blessings in my life this year, and feel like the luckiest girl ever! I hope you and your family all have a fabulous Thanksgiving too!!!

Sorry about all the random post lately, it's just I have all these little things on my mind that I want to share with you guys!

On Saturday we are having pictures made by the fabulous Julia Ryan, then at 2:00 we have a 3d appointment to find out if we are having a Boy or Girl!!!!!!!!!

On a total different note Todd and I ventured out Saturday and tried a new Italian restaurant La Fontana that just opened right down from our house. It was amazing, it was real Italian and the cheese O my word! Even better it was so crowded, "we" as in Carson Todd and I all sat together on a one sided booth ha! Luckily Carson is a squirt and sat in the middle so it wasn't too bad :) I had the

Gnocchi alla Sorrentina Potato dumplings tossed with a homemade pomodoro and basil sauce.And Todd had the Pollo alla Parmigiana (Chicken Parmesean) Pan-fried Chicken Breast topped with marinara and mozzarella cheese. Highly recommend this place for my Charleston readers!

PS On all my Loot yesterday that was my Happy Birthday, Merry Christmas, and happy pushing or cutting which ever this baby decides it would like to enter the world presents!

We had such a nice laid back weekend, are those not the best?

Saturday morning I had a baby shower to attend then Saturday evening we had a few of the neighbors over for dinner! So I did a lot of cooking!

These were made to accompany the steaks and asparagus my husband did on the grill! Our neighbors are awesome!! One set had fixed our computer a couple of times, and the other set had taken care of our four legged baby while we were out of town. So dinner was the least we could do :)

Also I got a few surprises last week! I struggled rather to tell you guys about this with fear as coming across as spoiled! I know these things are just material things and are not that important but,I am just so darn giddy, I have to share!

This baby is all mine now, and I must admit it was love at first sight!

Also this may have showed up in my driveway Thursday :)

One more little surprise, this pretty got all hung up in the laundry room! I have a feeling this is going to make clothes folding a whole lot better ha!

Weekend Happenings.....

1) We are taking Carson to his first FAIR today! ( I think I have talked Todd into taking off early so we can get there at 3:00 when they open). I am super excited, I loved the fair so much as a child!
(I don't love the fair people, but hey you have to take the good with the bad ha)!

2) I think I am about to go see if I can convince him to take me to Basil today for lunch while Carson is at school! ( I am after all preggo how could he say no)! if convinced I will be having this Cashew Chicken Yummo!!

3) I am in charge of making treats for Carsons class Halloween party on Monday. I cant decided which to make??

Basil was delish, I seriously ate just as much as Todd did! Baby and I are happy campers! But Basil is not the only reason!!! Holy Knock your socks off Batman if you live in Charleston you must go ASAP to Glazed , it just opened here in Charleston!! They are seriously is the most fabulous doughnuts you will ever eat!

PS On our way to Basil there was a sign on the door that said sold out reopening at 12, we got there at 12:10 and they were almost sold out again!! So get there NOW!!!!

I want to start off this letter to you by saying I am over the moon excited about the new babe that will be coming soon. With that being said I am scared, terrified actually! There are going to be a lot of changes, and honestly I don't do well with change. My husband and worlds greatest dad will be going into an office space come January. It's is so bittersweet, this whole Husband in an office space. On a positive note he will be able to get more work done, and our babes can be as loud as they want. On a not so positive note he will be gone which = gotta put my big girl panties on and learn to do it all by myself! I know I can do it, but it doesn't change the fact that it makes me nervous! Also motherhood did I mention Carson has been throwing the worlds most God awful fits lately!! Like the kind where I have to hold him down while daddy fights to put on his shoes. Lord give me super powers to handle this toddler and newborn on my own! Please other mamas tell me you have these thoughts too!

Disney On Ice......

Last night Todd and I took Carson to go see Disney On Ice! Our little man LOVED it, and Todd and I thought it was pretty awesome too! First I want to thank you all for your sweet comments on our last post! We are so super excited, and you guys just made it that much more exciting! Yep you guys rock!

Next a few of you asked, and YES we will be finding out the gender! We are going to find out early at 16 weeks! We did this with Carson and it was an amazing experience! We went Here, and that is where we will be returning again!! Its very spa like and relaxing, and you can bring whoever you would like to the visit! I cant wait to see our little peanut again, and find out what we are having!

My parents are coming to town this weekend and I am super pumped! Tonight I will be making my girl Chassitys White chicken chilli! and my other girl Natalies stuffed japapenos! Yummy!!!!

Also Saturday Mom and I will be shopping/looking for baby #2 nursery! I will let you all know what goodies we find!!

1- We had the most perfect weekend! I stood beside one of my life long best friends as she married the most perfect man! it was really beautiful!

2- My little Frog, after a middle of the day bath!

Why a middle of the day bath you ask??? Well my little frog decided that since he is forbidden to get out of his bed during nap time, he would improvise. He reached over to his nightstand got out his butt cream and painted himself and the bed. Just lovely, and in his defense he didn't get out of the bed :)

3- Best Sausage Balls Ever

I made these puppies last week, and they were seriously amaze!!!

Boys Clothes....

So I consider myself a true Southerner especially when it come to dressing my boy. Regardless of what people say about boys clothes, the last two years have been pretty easy. I was able to find plenty of smocked Jon Jons, monogrammed bubbles, and precious rompers. But now that he is two and a half it's getting really hard! I was able to find him these two cute outfits last week, but other than that we are in desperate need of some "southern" big boy clothes :)

The Third Birthday!

So I have been a slacker, usually by this time I have it all planned out! The theme, the cake, location, decorations, and even the party favors! Not this year though, I am just stumped! I think I have decided to have it at the The Childrens Museum after hours. Carson absolutely loves it there, and there is so much for the kiddos to do. Now the theme, I want to keep it simple. I am thinking maybe the firetruck from Pretty Smitten! Elizabeth has been making gift tags for me for two years now, and she never disappointments!

So these are my thoughts for now! I will keep you all updated as the planning continues!

OK Blog break is over, I miss you guys!

Here is a little recap of our wonderful weekend! The weather was just perfect, and Todd had a last minute business cancellation, so he was with us all weekend :)

Saturday was busy we had two birthday parties and a football party! Carson had the best time, and it was so fun watching him smile all day!

The first party was sweet Bowers Turning One! the party was awesome, and they had a real pony! Carson was beyond obsessed with this, and would hardly get off to let someone else have a turn.

Holy cant make a decision batman! Thank you all so much for your help! So now I have narrowed it down to the two different glass lamps. (for the record both of these set I previously had in my home). So sorry I keep begging for your design advice, but it helps me out sooo much! I love it when you guys give me feed back! So one more time which would you choose? Also a few of you said paint the mirror silver or metallic, but I kinda of the like the mix of finishes and I think it pops more. Beaufort Trip

Our trip to Beaufort was just what we needed. The Inn was beautiful, quiet, and served the best breakfast and pecan pie I have ever tasted!

I am going to stencil our half bath :) I have always loved the stenciled look, and have always wanted to try it out, so what the hay I am going to give it a shot. If I totally screw it up and it looks like shit at least it's the crapper :)

This past weekend we celebrated our dear friends Emily and Tom with a lawn a and garden party! The party was held at my bffs new gorgeous home! This past weekend we enjoyed a much needed family lake trip! My brothers in-laws have a gorgeous vacation home on lake Murray. They were nice enough to let my family stay for the weekend!! I can not explain how fun it was to spend some time with my entire family! We are all so busy and never get the time to all be together, so it was extra special!

To Slipcover or Not??

Well I am at it again, redoing a room :) I am pleased with most all the rooms in my home, but there are still a few I would like to redo. Our dining room is first on my list. A new paint color is not an option as I just had it painted about a year ago. Really I like the color, just not the curtains and all the dark furniture. It makes the space feel so closed in. After lots of thinking and searching I have decided to do a white/off-white drape. I know boring, but I am so drawn to neutrals and I never get tired of seeing them! Now what to do with all the dark furniture?? Slipcover the chairs? Get two new upholstered end chairs? Paint the chairs white? You thoughts would be greatly appreciated!!!

We Did It!!!!

Tuesday August the 9th, was a huge day at the Hewitt house! We released the beloved paci aka Fufu. I am not going to lie, I was so dreading doing this. To say that Carson LOVED his paci would just be laughable, the boy was beyond obsessed! But we were well prepared, and had talked about the balloons and how we would tie the pacis to them and let fly high in the sky so all the other little babies would could have them. It went better than I could have ever imagined, he was ready! We had so much fun, and I am so glad we captured this moment. To me it was kinda the day I said goodbye to my baby, and hello to my big brave toddler. I am all emotional like that sometimes :)

Carsons Fall Wardrobe

So the time has come to say goodbye to the jon jons :( It's very bittersweet for me! But, the reality is my baby boy is now becoming a big boy so I have to dress him like one! Thursday Thoughts....

Warning this post if full of randoms.....

* Todd and I had a long date night this past Sunday. We saw This movie,and it was hilarious, we both really enjoyed it. We also hit up the new JCrew outlet, and I was not very impressed :( The kids stuff was super cute though,so I picked up a few fall pieces for Carson.

* I have been eating terribly unhealthy lately,and I must admit I like it,but I have to stop!

Example:

* We will be out of town every weekend in August, except this weekend! Wedding parties, family lake trip, and a little anniversary getaway for Todd and I! At least it's all fun stuff!

* I have just been loving hanging out with my baby boy this summer! This age is so funny, and the things that come out of this childs mouth!

Example:

Carson and I are in Target and we are walking by the bra section. (note there is like an 80 year old women walking by)!

Carson- "Mama look at all those boobies"

Me- "Carson, shhh I see those bras."

Carson- "I like em"

Me- I bust out laughing, and luckily the 80 years old lady thought it was pretty funny too, because she was laughing hysterically with me!

Woza, guys! The Hewitt family got hit with the stomach bug again! It gets me every time, seriously I just had it two weeks ago! Todd, praise the Lord didn't get it, but my poor baby did. Carson is rarely ever sick, so I forget how hard it is to watch your sweet baby not feeling good! I do have a couple special recipes to share with you guys though! I got all fancy last week, and homemade a complete dinner for our family and our sweet neighbors who just welcomed a new baby boy Landon! We had our great friends/ neighbors Mark and Kat over for dinner last night, and it got me thinking. How great it is to have them in our lives. We met about fours years ago, and I knew from the beginning that we would be great friends forever. I can not even tell you the happiness it brings me to watch our little ones grow together, and to say they were smitten with each other, well I think you can see that by the pictures ;) Mark and Kat just welcomed a sweet baby boy Landon to the world, and we couldn't be more happier for them. They are such great parents, and Logan is such a wonderful big sister! So not to jinx myself or that I am playing match maker with my two year old, but it would be quit alright with me if these two stay this close forever ha! We love you sweet Logan!

OK ladies I need some help again! We decided to take the TV out of the bedroom hooray!!! Well really that was my decision, but either way its gone ;) Now I am stumped on what I need to put on the dresser and above the dresser? Here a shot of the dresser with the TV above it.

But so much Fun!!!! We had such a great weekend, the weather was perfect, the food was amazing, and as usual the company was even better!! Todd and I had a little overnight stay alone downtown at Mills House Saturday night ;) One of my girlfriends from high school was getting hitched downtown with the reception to follow at the Yacht Club, so we decided to make a night of it! We had such a great time, and would you believe I forgot my camera :( I do know there were quite a few funny pictures taken, so when I get the chance to snatch them off facebook I will share! I did get one right before the wedding of Todd and I at the Hotel though.

So on Sunday after sleeping in and being well rested, our great friends/old neighbors came to stay the night. We were so excited to see Paige, Yates, and sweet baby Jack! To say we miss them would be a huge understatement! They stopped in for a quick visit before they headed to Edisto for the week. (which we will be joining them for a night or two)!!! This is the part I love about Todd owning his own business, he gets to make his own schedule ;) here is a little blurry picture of us at lunch today before they headed out!

I feel like I have a million projects that I would like to get completed this summer. As I have mentioned before I am a little OCD, and it bothers me when things aren't done just the way I want them ha! But that is just not reality and slowly but surely I am learning this. So just for my piece of mind here is my list!

1). Get Carson big boy room started and completed! I pretty much have everything, just not sure he is quite ready to leave his crib. (Or maybe I am just not ready)

2). Finish staining our fence, and get the bronze caps put on.

3). Potty train my child!!! Boy I am dreading this one ;)

4). Pack up Carsons clothes that don't fit, and reorganize his closet!

5). Mentally get my self prepared to expand our family (We have decided to try for number 2 early fall)

6). With number five we have also decided that Todd will get an office space, and we are not converting the garage. This is a huge weight off my shoulders, a project that big would take forever! No to mention the cost in which we would never see the return on!

7). Put more shelving in our garage to have things a little more organized in there!

Whew....... I already feel much better about getting these things done!

We had a wonderful long weekend! Friday night Todd took me on a surprise date to the Boathouse, and it was beyond delicious!

On Saturday we finished up the deck, and played in the backyard on Carsons new water slide! When it started to get dark we lit the candles and torches and enjoyed a nice glass of wine ;)

On Sunday we had our some of our favorite people over to play, drink, and eat pizza! It was great, and the kids had a ball!

For the lack of post this week. I do have good reason, I have been chin deep in deck painting everyday! Its looking fabulous guys, and I so can not wait to show you pictures. Carson will be at Miss Lulus today, so fingers crossed I get it stained and complete! I don't want to leave you guys with just a boring apology, and i really do have lots to share, so here is a sneak peek on how last weekend ended for us ;)

You know those two men I love, well they really are amazing! Over the past weekend they built a deck! You read that right, my dad and Todd, just the two of them built my dream deck! Now may I add, neither one of these boys are builders, and they totally rocked it out the park! It is not quite finished yet, it still need rails, you know so the kiddos don't fall of the side ;). I also plan to add a few more personal touches in the decor, but for now you get the idea! Dont you just want to come over and have a cocktail with me??? O yeah that table in the middle can also be an ice pit, fire pit, or just a flat table, pretty awesome huh!
